Acceptable Use Policy

Frame is for protecting your own privacy. Here’s what that means.

In short

  • Only scan identifiers you own and have verified.
  • No stalking, doxxing, harassment or investigating others.
  • No scraping, reselling or automated abuse.
  • We may suspend accounts that break these rules.
On this page
  1. Your own data only
  2. Prohibited uses
  3. Household plans
  4. Enforcement

01Your own data only

Every scan requires you to verify ownership first: a code for emails and phone numbers, and an OAuth connection or verification for usernames and accounts. Don’t attempt to verify identifiers that aren’t yours.

02Prohibited uses

Using Frame to locate, track, monitor, profile or harass another person; to build lists of people; to test stolen credentials; or to circumvent another service’s security.

03Household plans

Household owners can’t view a member’s findings beyond what that member chooses to share. Members must consent to anything beyond a summary.

04Enforcement

We review reports at security@frameprivacy.com and may limit, suspend or close accounts. Where required, we cooperate with lawful requests and publish a transparency report.
